To be considered maple syrup, the sap must be evaporated until it reaches a specific density. A hydrometer is the easiest way to accurately measure the density of your syrup. A must-have for any maple syrup maker! Features the Baume scale and Brix scale. Made of glass. Designed to be used with the Little Giant Hydrometer Test Cup (sold separately). Also functions as a candy thermometer.
